"Recently had skin needling done. I cannot stand it when you get something done and they try to sell you products. However in this case the lady said to get skin needling I MUST buy these two products out of 5 products she told me about and so I’m like fine whatever, doesn’t tell me the price until the checkout….$190….. if you HAVE to buy these products when getting a treatment you NEED to put that in the time of the booking or add it to the skin needing cost, that oh yes, there will also be another charge of $190 at the time of appointment. So unbelievably stupid and not fair in this economy at all to dump that on you at the time you get it done when you’ve already bought the package online. So just be aware if you get treatments here they will tell you you HAVE TO get these products to get the treatments done and they are ridiculously priced."

"The team at Australian Skin Clinics in Ballarat are exceptional. I never feel rushed and they always take the time to explain every procedure thoroughly. All of the staff are wonderful, but I've mainly been helped by Kat who recommended a skin care regime that has improved my skin to the point of not really needing makeup. The treatments I received at ASC (sylfirm) have also seemed to cure my eye eczema, which was a very unexpected perk! I can't recommend this clinic more highly if you're looking to give yourself a little (or big) treat."

About this listing
Australian Skin Clinics Ballarat in Ballarat Central, Geelong
Australian Skin Clinics Ballarat is a non-surgical practice in Ballarat Central, a suburb of Geelong in VIC. Non-surgical cosmetic clinics provide procedures such as injectables, energy-based devices, peels and skin treatments. These services are governed by AHPRA advertising guidelines and the relevant scope-of-practice rules for the treating practitioner.
All information on this page — including contact details, opening hours, and any photos — is sourced from publicly available business directory data and the practice's own published material. This profile has not yet been independently verified by our editorial team. If you are the practice owner, you can claim the listing to confirm details and update copy. Always confirm a treating practitioner's registration directly on the AHPRA register before booking — the public register is the authoritative source for current registration status, specialist endorsements, and any conditions, undertakings or restrictions on practice.
Geelong is one of the larger cosmetic-care markets in VIC, with practices ranging from Specialist Plastic Surgeons (FRACS) operating in licensed day-hospitals through to non-surgical clinics in suburban shopfronts. When comparing practices, consider where surgery is actually performed, whether the anaesthetist is a Specialist Anaesthetist (FANZCA) where applicable, and what the clinic's written revision policy looks like. Quotes should cover the full pathway — consultation, surgical fee, anaesthetist fee, hospital fee, garments and standard follow-up — rather than a single headline figure.
Non-surgical cosmetic procedures — injectables, laser and energy-based devices, peels and skin treatments — must still be carried out by an appropriately registered practitioner working within their scope of practice. Schedule 4 prescription products (which include most cosmetic injectables) require a consultation with a doctor or nurse practitioner and an individual prescription for that patient. Reasonable practices document the practitioner providing the prescription, the practitioner administering the treatment, and the dose given.
Questions to ask before you book
- Who is the treating practitioner, and what is their AHPRA registration number?
- Which procedures does the practice perform on-site versus referring out?
- For prescription products, who provides the prescription and who administers the treatment?
- What is the protocol if you have an adverse event after a treatment?
- What follow-up is included in the quoted price?
- What does the full quote include — consultation, treatment, follow-up, and any garments or aftercare products?
- Are you given written information to take home before consenting to a procedure?
