Privacy policy

Cosmetic Surgery Clinics AU is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, and the rights you have under the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

Information we collect

We collect only what we need to run the directory:

• Enquiry form submissions. Your name, email, phone, the clinic you selected, the procedure you're interested in, and the message you wrote.
• Clinic claim submissions. The clinic name, treating practitioners and their AHPRA registration numbers, and the contact details of the person claiming the listing.
• Server logs. Anonymised request logs (IP address, user agent, referrer, timestamp) retained for up to 30 days for security and abuse prevention.
• Cookies. Essential cookies only — we do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or cross-site analytics that build a profile of you.

How we use it

• Enquiry details are forwarded to the specific clinic you selected, and only that clinic.
• We do not sell, rent, trade, or otherwise share enquiry data with third-party marketing, lead-generation, or comparison-site operators.
• We retain enquiry records for up to 24 months for auditing and dispute resolution, then delete them.

Third-party services

The site is served by Netlify, which stores form submissions on our behalf and records standard server access logs. Transactional email (auto-replies and enquiry forwarding) is sent via a reputable Australian-based email provider. We use no behavioural advertising networks and no third-party analytics that re-identify visitors.

Security

Data is transmitted over HTTPS and stored with industry-standard access controls. No system is completely secure — if you believe your information has been compromised, please contact us immediately at privacy@cosmeticsurgeryclinics.com.au.

Your rights

Under Australian privacy law you can ask us to:

• Confirm what personal information we hold about you.
• Correct personal information that is inaccurate or out of date.
• Delete personal information we no longer need to retain for legal reasons.

Send requests to privacy@cosmeticsurgeryclinics.com.au. We reply within 30 days. If you're not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC).

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy to reflect changes in our services or the law. Material changes will be notified on this page with a revised effective date.
