"I’m leaving this here as there doesn’t seem to be any direct way to contact the owner, and I’d really appreciate the chance to have this addressed properly. I recently had a lash appointment with Kiara and unfortunately left feeling quite disappointed with the result. There was little to no real consultation beforehand to go over what I was wanting. I did try to raise my concerns in person at the time, however the attitude I was met with made me feel dismissed and uncomfortable pushing it any further. Kiara took a photo and said she would pass it on, but as she was the only one in the salon, there wasn’t really an option to escalate it or speak to anyone else. Reaching out to the shop directly would have just gone back to her, which didn’t feel appropriate. The style I asked for was a soft, wispy hybrid with visible spikes and a lighter, more textured look. What I received was much fuller, heavier and quite uniform, with little to no wispy effect. It’s quite different to what I had requested. I am also currently 21 weeks pregnant and was kept completely flat for the duration of the appointment with no check-in or adjustment for comfort. There was no discussion around pregnancy at all, which I found concerning. I’m not someone who usually leaves reviews like this, and I’m not looking to cause issues, I would just really appreciate the opportunity to speak with the owner and find a resolution."

About this listing
Beautylashious Cairns in Cairns City, Cairns
Beautylashious Cairns is a non-surgical practice in Cairns City, a suburb of Cairns in QLD. Non-surgical cosmetic clinics provide procedures such as injectables, energy-based devices, peels and skin treatments. These services are governed by AHPRA advertising guidelines and the relevant scope-of-practice rules for the treating practitioner.
All information on this page — including contact details, opening hours, and any photos — is sourced from publicly available business directory data and the practice's own published material. This profile has not yet been independently verified by our editorial team. If you are the practice owner, you can claim the listing to confirm details and update copy. Always confirm a treating practitioner's registration directly on the AHPRA register before booking — the public register is the authoritative source for current registration status, specialist endorsements, and any conditions, undertakings or restrictions on practice.
Cairns is one of the larger cosmetic-care markets in QLD, with practices ranging from Specialist Plastic Surgeons (FRACS) operating in licensed day-hospitals through to non-surgical clinics in suburban shopfronts. When comparing practices, consider where surgery is actually performed, whether the anaesthetist is a Specialist Anaesthetist (FANZCA) where applicable, and what the clinic's written revision policy looks like. Quotes should cover the full pathway — consultation, surgical fee, anaesthetist fee, hospital fee, garments and standard follow-up — rather than a single headline figure.
Non-surgical cosmetic procedures — injectables, laser and energy-based devices, peels and skin treatments — must still be carried out by an appropriately registered practitioner working within their scope of practice. Schedule 4 prescription products (which include most cosmetic injectables) require a consultation with a doctor or nurse practitioner and an individual prescription for that patient. Reasonable practices document the practitioner providing the prescription, the practitioner administering the treatment, and the dose given.
Questions to ask before you book
- Who is the treating practitioner, and what is their AHPRA registration number?
- Which procedures does the practice perform on-site versus referring out?
- For prescription products, who provides the prescription and who administers the treatment?
- What is the protocol if you have an adverse event after a treatment?
- What follow-up is included in the quoted price?
- What does the full quote include — consultation, treatment, follow-up, and any garments or aftercare products?
- Are you given written information to take home before consenting to a procedure?
