"I went to Dermatology SA for the first time today and saw Dr Matthew Cho. Both Matthew and the overall practice were excellent. Matthew was warm and open, very thorough, and we had an honest, inclusive, and detailed conversation about the best treatment options. Treatment was carried out immediately, and the results were as discussed. The staff were very friendly, efficient, and caring. Overall, it was an excellent experience, and I am extremely satisfied with the outcome. Highly recommended."

"I would like to share a highly positive experience I have had with Dr Colin Ooi at Dermatology SA, for which I am extremely grateful. For several years I had a blemish or lesion on my right cheek that gradually became darker over time. Some time ago I consulted another dermatologist who, after only a visual inspection, advised that it was nothing to worry about and offered laser treatment for cosmetic reasons. As people had increasingly begun commenting on the mark, I proceeded with the laser treatment. The lesion lightened initially but eventually returned. As I had been reassured that it was purely aesthetic, I did not pursue it further until I later noticed darker spots appearing around the edges and the lesion gradually increasing in size. At that point I consulted Dr Ooi at Dermatology SA. From the outset his approach was proactive, thorough and highly professional, which immediately gave me confidence. Dr Ooi promptly arranged a biopsy and carefully explained the possible outcomes, even illustrating them diagrammatically, including the potential need for surgery. On the same day that the biopsy results were received, Dr Ooi personally called me to advise that I had an early skin cancer, as he had suspected. Given the size and location of the lesion, he recommended referral to a plastic surgeon. Within one week I had a consultation with the surgeon, and within another week I underwent surgery to remove the lesion. Ten days later I received very positive pathology results, which was an enormous relief. Dr Ooi continued to monitor the healing of my scar, which progressed well considering the surgery required around 40 stitches. He also provided laser treatment to help reduce redness around the scar. I am deeply grateful for Dr Ooiβs care, dedication, professionalism and proactive approach. He went above and beyond in both his medical care and communication. Needless to say, Dr Ooi now conducts my annual full-body skin checks. My sincere thanks. Martin Lewis Brighton SA"

About this listing
Dermatology SA in Dulwich, Adelaide
Dermatology SA is a dermatology practice in Dulwich, a suburb of Adelaide in SA. Dermatology practices that offer cosmetic services are regulated under the same general AHPRA framework and may also offer skin cancer screening, medical dermatology and prescription-only treatments alongside cosmetic procedures.
All information on this page β including contact details, opening hours, and any photos β is sourced from publicly available business directory data and the practice's own published material. This profile has not yet been independently verified by our editorial team. If you are the practice owner, you can claim the listing to confirm details and update copy. Always confirm a treating practitioner's registration directly on the AHPRA register before booking β the public register is the authoritative source for current registration status, specialist endorsements, and any conditions, undertakings or restrictions on practice.
Adelaide is one of the larger cosmetic-care markets in SA, with practices ranging from Specialist Plastic Surgeons (FRACS) operating in licensed day-hospitals through to non-surgical clinics in suburban shopfronts. When comparing practices, consider where surgery is actually performed, whether the anaesthetist is a Specialist Anaesthetist (FANZCA) where applicable, and what the clinic's written revision policy looks like. Quotes should cover the full pathway β consultation, surgical fee, anaesthetist fee, hospital fee, garments and standard follow-up β rather than a single headline figure.
Specialist Dermatologists complete a minimum of twelve years of medical and surgical training, including a four-year accredited training program overseen by the Australasian College of Dermatologists. The "Specialist Dermatologist" title is protected under AHPRA registration. When a dermatology practice offers cosmetic services alongside medical dermatology, the same specialist standards apply.
