"I have been a long time patient, my concerns with the clinic are Being treated as a new patient at my annual reviews, incurring a higher fee( I have been a patient for 10 years) Marketing emails suggesting largely cosmetic treatments Consultations that seem hurried Recommendations for skin lotions etc that are expensive"

"As a patient of Northside Dermatology for 5 years, I have been advised clear outlines for the treatment of pre-cancerous skin cells. Just this year I have undertaken facial laser procedures, rather than topical medical lotions, used previously. The clinicians and the dermatologists have helped me through the laser experience; the follow up care, with A4 sheet notes included, really helped. There was approximately 5 days of down time, if you have that time available to you, take it, to ensure best after care practice. I will continue with long term care during my lifetime."

"I’ve had great experience at Northside Dermatology Clinic! Dr. Emily and Nurse Xin, they’re both so professional and attentive. I’ve been seeing Xin for a few months now—she is amazing! She really listens, picks the right treatments for my skin, and gives super clear advice on skincare and products. My skin has improved so much after a few sessions, and I can’t describe how happy I am after dealing with skin issues for years. I’d highly recommend Xin and the team at Northside!"

About this listing
Northside Dermatology Skin Clinic Melbourne in Fitzroy North, Melbourne
Northside Dermatology Skin Clinic Melbourne is a dermatology practice in Fitzroy North, a suburb of Melbourne in VIC. Dermatology practices that offer cosmetic services are regulated under the same general AHPRA framework and may also offer skin cancer screening, medical dermatology and prescription-only treatments alongside cosmetic procedures.
All information on this page — including contact details, opening hours, and any photos — is sourced from publicly available business directory data and the practice's own published material. This profile has not yet been independently verified by our editorial team. If you are the practice owner, you can claim the listing to confirm details and update copy. Always confirm a treating practitioner's registration directly on the AHPRA register before booking — the public register is the authoritative source for current registration status, specialist endorsements, and any conditions, undertakings or restrictions on practice.
Melbourne is one of the larger cosmetic-care markets in VIC, with practices ranging from Specialist Plastic Surgeons (FRACS) operating in licensed day-hospitals through to non-surgical clinics in suburban shopfronts. When comparing practices, consider where surgery is actually performed, whether the anaesthetist is a Specialist Anaesthetist (FANZCA) where applicable, and what the clinic's written revision policy looks like. Quotes should cover the full pathway — consultation, surgical fee, anaesthetist fee, hospital fee, garments and standard follow-up — rather than a single headline figure.
Specialist Dermatologists complete a minimum of twelve years of medical and surgical training, including a four-year accredited training program overseen by the Australasian College of Dermatologists. The "Specialist Dermatologist" title is protected under AHPRA registration. When a dermatology practice offers cosmetic services alongside medical dermatology, the same specialist standards apply.
