"I am extremely disappointed with the service I received from Quay Day Spa. I paid a large amount of money in advance for laser treatments and other services, trusting that I would receive proper care and professional service. Initially, I completed 4 sessions without issue. However, after that, everything became very unprofessional. I was repeatedly told that the staff member was sick and that my appointment would be rescheduled. Despite this, I was never contacted to rebook. I have made multiple attempts to follow up by calling them myself, and every time I am given the same excuse with no clear solution, no effort to arrange a new appointment, and no proper communication. It has now reached a point where I still have a significant amount of money remaining with them, yet I am not receiving the services I paid for. This is completely unacceptable. This experience reflects very poor customer service, lack of professionalism, and disregard for clients, time and money. Taking advance payments and then failing to deliver the service or properly communicate is not fair and not ethical. If this matter is not resolved promptly, I will have no option but to take further action, further complaint seeking assistance to recover my money. I would strongly advise others to think carefully before paying in advance here."

Claire and Michelle are simply brilliant β whether itβs easing sore muscles or pampering with a facial, their magic hands never disappoint. Great parking and regular specials too!"

"I have just sat in the waiting room of this Salon for 45 minutes. Waiting for products that I had ordered 4 weeks ago. I was told on the phone that there will be somebody there at the time of pickup for me to collect my products. I have since walked out without my products i have been waiting on for so long. Very unhappy."

About this listing
Quay Day Spa in Bellerive, Hobart
Quay Day Spa is a non-surgical practice in Bellerive, a suburb of Hobart in TAS. Non-surgical cosmetic clinics provide procedures such as injectables, energy-based devices, peels and skin treatments. These services are governed by AHPRA advertising guidelines and the relevant scope-of-practice rules for the treating practitioner.
All information on this page β including contact details, opening hours, and any photos β is sourced from publicly available business directory data and the practice's own published material. This profile has not yet been independently verified by our editorial team. If you are the practice owner, you can claim the listing to confirm details and update copy. Always confirm a treating practitioner's registration directly on the AHPRA register before booking β the public register is the authoritative source for current registration status, specialist endorsements, and any conditions, undertakings or restrictions on practice.
Hobart is one of the larger cosmetic-care markets in TAS, with practices ranging from Specialist Plastic Surgeons (FRACS) operating in licensed day-hospitals through to non-surgical clinics in suburban shopfronts. When comparing practices, consider where surgery is actually performed, whether the anaesthetist is a Specialist Anaesthetist (FANZCA) where applicable, and what the clinic's written revision policy looks like. Quotes should cover the full pathway β consultation, surgical fee, anaesthetist fee, hospital fee, garments and standard follow-up β rather than a single headline figure.
Non-surgical cosmetic procedures β injectables, laser and energy-based devices, peels and skin treatments β must still be carried out by an appropriately registered practitioner working within their scope of practice. Schedule 4 prescription products (which include most cosmetic injectables) require a consultation with a doctor or nurse practitioner and an individual prescription for that patient. Reasonable practices document the practitioner providing the prescription, the practitioner administering the treatment, and the dose given.
Questions to ask before you book
- Who is the treating practitioner, and what is their AHPRA registration number?
- Which procedures does the practice perform on-site versus referring out?
- For prescription products, who provides the prescription and who administers the treatment?
- What is the protocol if you have an adverse event after a treatment?
- What follow-up is included in the quoted price?
- What does the full quote include β consultation, treatment, follow-up, and any garments or aftercare products?
- Are you given written information to take home before consenting to a procedure?
