  1. Evie Z. ★★★★★

"I must admit I was skeptical of Dr Chok's recommendations to achieve my goals at first as they appeared to rely on an understanding of facial anatomy/aesthetics and how the facial muscles moved in relation to each other. However, after a long, back-and-forth consult, I was able to make enough sense of it to feel comfortable getting the injections. In the end I am beyond pleased with my results! I also felt like my individual circumstances (+ pretty long operation history) were taken into account which made the consult even better for me. Overall, I would definitely recommend Dr Chok for patients with complex histories, including those who have undergone unsuccessful procedures, are unsure where to begin with corrective treatment and/or have received conflicting advice from different health practitioners."

"Loved my treatment with Nurse Chantelle, followed by a facial upstairs. The girls are so knowledgeable and went through a thorough machine operated face analysis before the treatment to show all of my pigment, redness and other things of concern. Highly recommend Chantelle and the team upstairs!"

"I was referred to Dr Chok by a long-term client of his and was happy to wait several weeks for an appointment. Unfortunately, the experience was nothing like what I expected. I arrived early to complete forms, but ended up sitting in the waiting room for over 25 minutes past my appointment time while staff (including Dr Chok) could be heard chatting and eating lunch. The smell of food filled the room, which didn’t feel professional at all. When I went to ask how much longer it would be, I waited for 5 minutes before anyone came to the desk. The nurse couldn’t give a clear answer, and although I could hear her speaking to Dr Chok, there was no definitive update or apology. A second receptionist (who was much friendlier) eventually explained that his lunch had been delayed. If a doctor is running late, a simple courtesy call or even a heads-up on arrival would make a big difference. Instead, the lack of communication and disregard for patients’ time left a really poor impression. This clinic came across as unprofessional and disorganised. I chose to leave, pleased I hadn't spent my money here and booked elsewhere, where I was seen on time and treated with respect. Definitely not the experience I expected after such a strong recommendation."

About this listing

Regenesis Cosmetic Surgery in Kent Town, Adelaide

Regenesis Cosmetic Surgery is a non-surgical practice in Kent Town, a suburb of Adelaide in SA. Non-surgical cosmetic clinics provide procedures such as injectables, energy-based devices, peels and skin treatments. These services are governed by AHPRA advertising guidelines and the relevant scope-of-practice rules for the treating practitioner.

All information on this page — including contact details, opening hours, and any photos — is sourced from publicly available business directory data and the practice's own published material. This profile has not yet been independently verified by our editorial team. If you are the practice owner, you can claim the listing to confirm details and update copy. Always confirm a treating practitioner's registration directly on the AHPRA register before booking — the public register is the authoritative source for current registration status, specialist endorsements, and any conditions, undertakings or restrictions on practice.

Adelaide is one of the larger cosmetic-care markets in SA, with practices ranging from Specialist Plastic Surgeons (FRACS) operating in licensed day-hospitals through to non-surgical clinics in suburban shopfronts. When comparing practices, consider where surgery is actually performed, whether the anaesthetist is a Specialist Anaesthetist (FANZCA) where applicable, and what the clinic's written revision policy looks like. Quotes should cover the full pathway — consultation, surgical fee, anaesthetist fee, hospital fee, garments and standard follow-up — rather than a single headline figure.

Non-surgical cosmetic procedures — injectables, laser and energy-based devices, peels and skin treatments — must still be carried out by an appropriately registered practitioner working within their scope of practice. Schedule 4 prescription products (which include most cosmetic injectables) require a consultation with a doctor or nurse practitioner and an individual prescription for that patient. Reasonable practices document the practitioner providing the prescription, the practitioner administering the treatment, and the dose given.

Questions to ask before you book

  • Who is the treating practitioner, and what is their AHPRA registration number?
  • Which procedures does the practice perform on-site versus referring out?
  • For prescription products, who provides the prescription and who administers the treatment?
  • What is the protocol if you have an adverse event after a treatment?
  • What follow-up is included in the quoted price?
  • What does the full quote include — consultation, treatment, follow-up, and any garments or aftercare products?
  • Are you given written information to take home before consenting to a procedure?

How to verify any cosmetic surgeon on AHPRA

AHPRA registration is the baseline credential check for any cosmetic procedure in Australia. The five steps below take roughly two minutes and are the single most important due-diligence step before paying a deposit.

  1. 1

    Open the AHPRA register

AHPRA publishes a free public register of every registered medical practitioner in Australia. Open the official register — never rely on a third-party "verification" site.

  2. 2

Search by name and "Medical Practitioner"

Search by the practitioner's full name and select Profession: Medical Practitioner. The register returns active registrations only — if the name does not appear, do not proceed.

  3. 3

Confirm the specialty (or its absence)

Look at the "Specialty" field. A FRACS specialist plastic surgeon will list "Specialist Surgery — Plastic Surgery". Anyone who calls themselves a "cosmetic surgeon" without a recognised specialty is a general medical practitioner under AHPRA — that is a meaningful difference for surgical work.

  4. 4

Check for conditions, undertakings, or restrictions

The register flags any conditions on a practitioner's registration, including AHPRA undertakings or restrictions. Treat any flag as a reason to ask the practitioner directly what it relates to before booking.

  5. 5

    Verify hospital privileges separately

Hospital privileges are issued by the hospital, not AHPRA. For surgical procedures, ask which accredited hospital or licensed day-procedure centre the operation will take place in, and verify the surgeon has admitting rights there.
